BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College (Mass.) athletic department is pleased to announce the promotion of Dan Campagna ’07 to the title of Assistant Athletic Director / Director of Athletic Communications, Sports Information & Compliance. Under the leadership and guidance of Brendan McWilliams, Director of Athletics and Recreation, Campagna will assume the Assistant AD role immediately.
Senior men's cross country and indoor/outdoor track & field athlete Ian Chamenko was the 2017 Senior Speaker at this year's Senior Awards Banquet. Chamenko was also one of the winner's of the HALO'S Award given annually to a senior athlete who best represents Emmanuel with Heart, Attitude, Loyalty, Outstanding athlete ability and success as a Student.
The Emmanuel College Dance Team competed at the New England Cheer & Dance competition on Saturday, November 7. The team earned first place in the College Hip Hop division, had the highest score of all GNAC teams, and received the Grand Champion trophy for earning the highest overall score among all divisions.
BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Athletics Department unveiled a new Saints Spirit Bus in a small ceremony on campus on Friday afernoon. The bus, included for free in a three-year contract with Bloom Bus Company, features 23 student-athletes on the sides and back of the bus.
WINTHROP, Mass. – Former Emmanuel College Director of Athletics and Recreation Pam Roecker has been voted the 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Executive of the Year, the league office announced on Monday. The announcement was made following a vote among the GNAC’s 12 athletics directors.
BOSTON, Mass. – Following a national search, Emmanuel College is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexis Mastronardi as the Director of Athletics and Recreation, announced Thursday afternoon by Dr. Patricia Rissmeyer, Vice President of Student Affair. Mastronardi becomes the College’s fourth Athletic Director replacing Pam Roecker who has served in this capacity since 2003 and will assume the position on July 6, 2015.
April 6, 2015 marks the 28th celebration of National Student-Athlete Day. The National Consortium from Academics and Sports (NCAS) created the day to honor the outstanding achievements of student-athletes. Over 3.6 million college and high school student-athletes have been honored to date, each one earning at least a 3.0 GPA while engaging in community service.
Each year, the NCAS partners with the NCAA to help carry out this special celebration. At Emmanuel College, we celebrated the day by taking a moment to speak with several of our team captains and seeing what being a Division III student-athlete means to them.
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men's and women's Indoor Track & Field team as well as the Men's Volleyball team participated in a Team Blessing Wednesday afternoon in the Jean Yawkey Center Gymnasium at a blessing ceremony hosted by Emmanuel College’s Campus Ministry. Approximately 50 student-athletes and 20 Emmanuel College staff and faculty members were present for the third Team Blessing during the 2012-13 academic calendar year.
Members of Emmanuel College’s athletic administration and coaching staff attended the annual Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Professional Development Seminar on Wednesday, August 8th. The all-day event was once again hosted by the Doubletree Hotel on the banks of the Charles River in Allston, Mass.
If you attended a Saints men’s or women’s basketball game this past winter, then you know there was no break in the action when the teams headed into the locker rooms at halftime. If you stayed in your seat during the intermission, you probably had the privilege of seeing the jaw-dropping dexterity of Emmanuel College freshman, Kayla Flaherty (Derry, N.H.). It’s no doubt that you were left standing and speechless after her astonishing 2-3 minute baton-twirling routine.
