  • ENGLISH TABBED TO GNAC ALL-CONFERENCE THIRD TEAM

    BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College sophomore outside hitter Erik English (Simi Valley, Calif.) has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Third Team squad, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
  • MEN'S VOLLEYBALL BOWS OUT OF GNAC TOURNEY TO RIVIER

    NASHUA, N.H. - The Rivier University Men’s Volleyball team earned another trip to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Semi-finals with a three set sweep of visiting Emmanuel College in a GNAC Quarterfinal matchup at the Muldoon Gymnasium. Rivier, 20-12 overall on the season, is the overall #3 seed and will travel to #2 Lasell College on Thursday night. Emmanuel wraps up the 2017 campaign with an 8-21 overall record.

The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team was defeated by No. 7 Wentworth Institute of Technology 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-17) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Thursday evening at Andy Yosinoff Court. The Saints slip to 8-17 while the win improves the Leopards to 23-6.
  • MEN’S VOLLEYBALL SPLITS GNAC TRI-MATCH

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team was defeated by crosstown rival Emerson College 3-1 (37-35, 25-18, 26-24, 25-23) before bouncing back to beat Mount Ida College 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-11). Emerson defeated Mount Ida 3-0 in the second match (25-20, 25-19, 25-23). The split leaves Emmanuel with an 8-17 record, while the two wins improve Emerson 11-10 and Mount Ida drop to 12-16 after two losses on the day.

    BOSTON, Mass.- The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team defeated Albertus Magnus College 3-0 (25-16, 25-6, 25-5) in GNAC action on Thursday evening at Andy Yosinoff Court. The Saints improve to 7-16 while the loss drops the Falcons to 2-11.

    The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team was defeated by number eight ranked Lasell College 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25- 15) in a crosstown GNAC meeting on Thursday evening. The victory pushes the Lasers to 22-5 while the Saints slip to 6-16.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision (25-14, 25-17, 25-15) to No. 1 ranked Springfield College Tuesday evening at the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Pride improve to 22-1 on 22 straight victories while the loss drops Emmanuel to 6-13.

    Nashua, N.H. -The Emmanuel College men's volleyball team split a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference matches Saturday afternoon at the Mulddon Gymnasium. The Saints recorded a 3-0 win over Mount Ida College before falling to host Rivier University, 3-0, in the nightcap of a GNAC tri-match. The Saints now stand at 6-12 overall and 2-3 in the GNAC while Rivier boasts a 14-8, 5-1 mark and Mount Ida at 10-9, 1-3.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Johnson & Wales University men’s volleyball team outlasted host Emmanuel College, 3-2 (24-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-14, 15-8) Wednesday evening on the Andy Yosinoff Court. The win lifts the Wildcats to 14-11 overall and 3-3 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action while the loss drops the Saints to 5-11 overall and 1-2 in GNAC play.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College's Erik English earned the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week honors. The award comes after the freshman outside hitter posted a double-double in non-conference match-up against nationally ranked 14 MIT.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (17-25, 18-25, 21-25) decision to No. 14 MIT on Tuesday evening at the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Engineers improve to 17-3 on the season and have now won 12 in a row while the loss drops the Saints to 5-10 overall.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Jon Roat (Macedon, N.Y.) had 14 kills, served five aces, and hit .429 to help pace the seventh-ranked Wentworth Institute of Technology men’s volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Emmanuel in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference played at Tansey Gymnasium.

    BOSTON, Mass. – After dropping the opening set, the Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 (18-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-20) win over College of Mount Saint Vincent Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Saints improve to 5-8 overall while the loss drops the Dolphins to 4-8 on the year.

    UNION, N.J. – For the second day in the row the Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match, posting a 3-0 victory over SUNY Poly before falling to host Kean University, 3-0. With the push, the Saints are now 4-7 on the year while SUNY stands at 7-7 and Kean is now 10-3 overall.

    NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team posted a 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 27-29, 26-24) victory over Saint Joseph’s College of Long Island before falling to host Hunter College, 3-0 (19-25, 14-25, 16-25), Saturday afternoon at the Hunter Sportsplex. With the split, the Saints now stand at 3-6 overall on the year while Hunter improve to 9-2 and SJLI moves to a 4-4 record.

    BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel College freshman setter Seamus McDonagh (Long Beach, N.Y.) has been honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in just his third week of collegiate competition. McDonagh was named the GNAC Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week on February 6th, following a strong performance last week that led the Saints to a 2-1 record.

The Saints notch their first win of the year and improve to 1-4 overall while the loss drops the Bulldogs to 0-2 as the match was just the program’s second ever contest.

    CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College head men's volleyball coach Sheila Gisbrecht registered her 100th career win at the helm of the men's volleyball program as the Blazers swept visiting Emmanuel College, 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-18), in a non-conference match at Picknelly Arena Tuesday night. With the win, the Blazers improve to 4-3 on the season, while Saints drop to 0-4 overall.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The North Central College men’s volleyball team spoiled the 2017 home-opener for Emmanuel College, cruising to a 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-15) sweep at the Jean Yawkey Center Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals improve to 2-1 on the year while the loss dips the Saints to a 0-3 start.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches Saturday afternoon to open the 2017 campaign. The Saints fell to MIT, 3-0 (13-25, 19-25, 20-25) in their season-opener before dropping a 3-0 decision to Sage College, 3-1 (25-16, 17-25, 19-25, 20-25).
