Home of The Saints

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hire of Alexandra Schroll as Head Coach of the Dance Team.  Schroll takes over the role from Amanda Sheehan and Connie Katsarikas who stepped down earlier this summer after serving in the position as Co-Head Coaches for five seasons.

Emmanuel College Director of Athletics and Recreation Brendan McWilliams would like to thank all of those who participated in the interview process.

Schroll graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emmanuel in 2016 where she earned her Bachelor of Arts by double-majoring in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies.

"Returning to coach the team that was such an important part of my college career at Emmanuel is a dream come true," said Schroll. "I look forward to collaborating with the Athletic Department to continue building the program and working with this team of collegiate athletes to showcase what an integral part of the Emmanuel community they are."

While at Emmanuel, Schroll was a four-year member and a standout on the Saints Dance Team where she was named the team MVP her senior year.  She also was a member of the Pi Lambda Theta Education Honor Society, Kappa Gamma Pi Catholic Honor Society and the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society as well as a Resident Assistant for two years.

"We're very excited to welcome back Alex to the Saints family," said McWilliams. "Her commitment and excitement about the Dance program were evident during the interview process and we're looking forward to many great things behind her leadership."

Schroll returns to EC after serving on the coaching staff of the Framingham High School Dance Team since 2016 and has prior experience as a choreographer and teacher at the Dance 10 Performing Arts Center out of Wethersfield, Conn.

Schroll currently works full-time as a teacher at the Brooke Charter School in East Boston, Mass.  Schroll has taught in several classrooms at Brooke Charter including a First Grade Lead Teacher, First Grade Co-Teacher, Third Grade Associate Teacher as well as the Drama Club Director.
