Box Score PAXTON, Mass. - With three goals in the opening 15 minutes, Emmanuel women's soccer put on another dominant performance on Saturday, defeating the Anna Maria AMCATS, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.
The Saints opened up the game quickly, scoring their first goal just 46 seconds into the game with junior Maya Daryanani finding the back of the net. Two more goals followed in the opening 15 minutes with junior Liz McCormick scoring in the 12th minute, matched by a 15th-minute tally by junior Sarah Dullaghan, helping the Saints to a 3-0 lead.Â
After the break, things wouldn't get much better for the AMCATS as the Saints opened up the second half with a goal just four minutes in off the foot of graduate forward Hailey Goodman. Dullaghan found her second goal of the afternoon in the 61st minute, giving the Saints a 5-0 advantage. With two goals on the afternoon, it's the eighth time this season Dullaghan has posted a multi-goal game.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Kortney Clark made her 200th career save against the Saints. In two years, Clark has made 211 total saves.
- Dullaghan is up to 26 goals this season, leading all players in NCAA Division III.
- McCormick and Goodman are up to nine goals each in 2024.
- First-year goalie Teigan Robie made two stops for Emmanuel as she improves to 9-1-0 this year.
COMING UP:
The Saints return to Clemente Field on Tuesday, Oct. 22, as they host Saint Joseph's of Maine at 7:00 p.m. in GNAC action. The AMCATS are back Tuesday, making the trip to Lasell University for a 3:00 p.m. GNAC kick.
