GREENWOOD, Ind. – Emmanuel senior
Josh Huckans, and juniors
Joe Anderson and
Gabriel Eduarte have all been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division III Men's Soccer Academic All-District Team, as announced by the CSC on Nov. 19.
To be eligible for selection to the CSC Academic All-District teams, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of a team's matches or start in at least 66 percent of contests throughout the year.
Other familiar criteria remained in place as nominees must still be a sophomore in athletic and academic standing and hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Graduate students are judged based on their final undergraduate cumulative GPA for nomination until a new graduate program GPA has been established.
Anderson and Eduarte played in all 19 matches for the Saints, making 18 starts in 2024. Huckans missed one match this season, making 18 appearances and 16 starts on defense.
Unlike in past years, the nomination to the Academic All-District team does not necessarily move a student-athlete into consideration for the Academic All-American® ballot. A committee, comprised of Academic All-American® Core Members and members from the CSC will determine which athletes move to the All-American ballot.
Once the ballot is released, CSC members have until Nov. 26 to vote for Academic All-Americans®. The CSC will announce the Academic All-American® First, Second, and Third Teams on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
