BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's basketball team continued its hot start, remaining unbeaten with a 72-48 win over Emmanuel College on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears move to 4-0 while the Saints fall to 0-5 on the season.
 
Game Highlights

• The Saints jumped out of the gate quickly, taking a 13-4 lead six minutes into the contest.
• It was all Bowdoin after that, as the Polar Bears closed out the first half on a 29-10 run.
• Kevin Reeves sparked the run with eight points and two blocks in the period as the Polar Bears carried a 33-23 lead into the break.
• Emmanuel stayed within striking distance until midway through the second half.
• After the Saints cut the lead to eight points, 46-38, with 11:00 to go, James McGowan hit a three-pointer to key a 12-0 run to give Bowdoin a commanding 58-38 with eight minutes to go.
• The Polar Bears pushed their lead to as many as 25 points on their way to the win.

• Kevin Reeves paced Bowdoin with a season-high 17 points to go with five rebounds and five blocks.
• A balanced attack supported the Polar Bears as 11 different players scored, led by eight points from Ray Cuevas and Ben Chilson.
• Bowdoin finished at 41% shooting for the contest but held Emmanuel to 28% and had nine blocks as a team.
• Nolan Bessire led Bowdoin with ten rebounds and McGowan paced the team with six assists.
• Saints sophomore Mahari Guerrier finished with a team-high 15 points and 11 rebounds.
• Junior Ismani Cepeda added 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting.
