CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - With their third match in two days and their first tri-match of the season, the Emmanuel Saints men's volleyball team came away with a Saturday split after a straight sets sweep over American International, followed by a 3-1 loss to MIT.
In their 3-0 win over AIC, the Saints hit .419 from the floor, finishing with 39 kills on 74 attempts with just eight errors. Junior
Michael Shelley finished with 16 kills while fellow junior
Trey Guest added a dozen kills while hitting a match-best .632.First-year
Jehuda Tawalujan added 35 assists in the win.
Against MIT, the Saints offense dropped to hitting just .122 from the floor. Shelley led Emmanuel for a second straight match, finishing with 12 kills. Guest added nine kills while sophomore
Quincy Moore had 24 assists.
The Saints enter Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Wednesday., Jan. 22, as they travel to Regis for a 7:00 p.m. match.
