WESTON, Mass. - Holding a one-point lead at halftime, Emmanuel Saints women's basketball pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Regis Pride 41-26 over the final 20 minutes, on the way to a 70-54 victory on Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play from the Higgins Center.
The Saints return to .500 for the first time since Dec. 3, improving to 9-9 (4-3 GNAC) after winning their fourth straight game. The Pride fall to 4-13 (3-4 GNAC) as they hang on to the final spot in the GNAC Playoff seeding with seven games to go.
With a 29-28 lead heading to the second half, the Saints began pulling away in the third quarter with the help of 10-of-24 shooting from the floor. Emmanuel earned their first double-digit lead of the night by starting the second half on a 13-4 run over the opening 2:40 to take a 42-32 lead.
Later in the quarter, still leading by 10, the Saints posted a 9-2 run late in the third, boosting their lead to 54-37. By quarter's end, the visitors outscored the Pride 25-11 to take a 54-39 advantage into the fourth. First-year

Paris Atuahene added six points in the Saints dominant third quarter.
The Saints led by as many as 20 in the fourth, as their advantage never dipped back into the single digits, leading to the Saints fourth consecutive win, coming by a final of 70-54 on Wednesday evening.
Krumian matched a career-high with 15 points, shooting 6-for-15 for the floor, including a trio of three-point makes. Atuahene added a dozen points in the win to go along with five rebounds and four steals. Sophomore
Kaitlyn Bartash stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, five rebounds, four blocks, and two assists.
For the Pride,
Madi Zancan finished with game-highs of 24 points and 13 rebounds while blocking four shots.
Courtney Doherty chipped in with 14 points and four assists.
The Saints look for their fifth win in a row on Saturday, Feb. 1, as they welcome the Dean Bulldogs to the Yawkey Center for a 3:00 p.m. conference game. The Pride play host to Lasell on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
