BOSTON - Emmanuel women's basketball got its season underway with a dominant performance, claiming a 108-31 victory over the Medgar Evers Cougars on Saturday afternoon from
Andy Yosinoff Court, as part of the Emmanuel College Tip-Off Classic. Saturday's portion of the EC Tip-Off Classic is the first game of the season for the Saints, as they move to 1-0. The Cougars fall to 0-3 with the loss.
The Saints opened the game shooting 13-for-25 from the field in the first quarter, but with the help of a 23-1 run, Emmanuel was in control from the opening minutes, holding a 29-6 lead through after 10 minutes. The lead continued to expand in the second quarter, thanks to 13-for-24 shooting, as the Saints outscored the Cougars 37-8 in the second quarter, on the way to a 66-14 lead at the break.
Emmanuel shot over 50 percent in all four quarters, as the Saints run continued in the second half. The home side finished 18-of-31 from the floor in the second half, as the Saints closed out Medgar Evers 108-31.

Nylah Mitchell scored a game-high 21 points on 10-for-13 shooting in just nine minutes. Junior

Nylah Moore each added a dozen points in the win.
