NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Emmanuel College women's volleyball concluded its regular season with a win over Norwich on Saturday afternoon in Northfield, VT. The 3-0 victory (25-11, 25-15, 25-20) sealed a perfect 13-0 2025 conference slate for the Saints. Emmanuel finished the year 27-1.
From the opening whistle the Saints established control, building leads and never letting the Cadets get comfortable. Emmanuel jumped ahead early in the first set going on a 16-4 run to start and rolled to a convincing 25-11 opening set, capitalizing on a .458 hitting percentage and strong team defense.
Norwich showed some signs of life in the second set, cutting the deficit to 14-12, but stormed back to win 25-15, out-killing the Cadets and limiting errors.
The Cadets mounted its best fight in the third, scoring three-straight points to cut the score to 21-20 before Emmanuel closed out the last four points unanswered to complete the sweep.
Emmanuel had 46 kills on a .294 hitting percentage while Norwich had 22 kills on .096 hitting. The Saints served 8 aces compared to 2 for Norwich. Julia Haight posted 12 kills and 8 digs, delivering a strong all-around effort and Letitia Bossou added 10 kills and 3 blocks. Sofia Petrucci led the team with 16 digs, while Kason Huynh had 23 assists, orchestrating the offense effectively.
Emmanuel looks to keep the momentum going on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. when it hosts the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Quarterfinals on Yosinoff Court in the Jean Yawkey Center.
