MILTON, Mass. – Emmanuel men's volleyball picked up their third straight victory, strolling into Miller Gymnasium for a straight sets sweep (25-15, 25-14, 25-18) over the Curry Colonels on Wednesday night in non-conference action.
The three-game winning streak helps the Saints to a 14-10 overall record while the Colonels fall to 5-14 with four matches left in their season.
The Saints needed just 25 attempts to collect 13 total kills in the opening set, on the way to a 25-15 win. Emmanuel claimed eight of the first 10 points of the first set and expanded on their advantage with the help of a 7-1 run in the middle of the set. A kill for senior

In the second set, after trading the opening points early in the frame, the Saints broke away with a 14-5 surge, taking an 18-9 lead following the run. The visitors combined for 11 total kills on 20 attempts with five errors, as a Colonels service error ended the set in the Saints 25-14 win.
In the final set, the Saints led from the start and never surrendered their advantage, despite a close battle for control. Emmanuel ultimately used a 4-0 run in the middle of the set to pull away while closing the match with five of the last six points, capped off by a match point ace by sophomore

Michael Shelley finished with a team-high eight kills over two sets, hitting .500 from the floor. Junior
Trey Guest added six kills while senior
Louis Da Silva had five kills in six attempts to hit .833 on the night.
Colonels first-year
Chris Milfort finished with a match-high 15 kills in 21 attempts with two errors to hit a red-hot .619 on the night. Sophomores

Jose Teixeira each chipped in with three kills.
The Saints head back into conference play for the final five matches of their regular season, starting with a Senior Day match on Saturday, March 29, hosting the No. 20 Lasell Lasers on Yosinoff Court at noon. The Colonels head for a tri-match on Saturday with SUNY Potsdam and Sage.
