Men's Lacrosse Posts Eighth Straight Win With Senior Day Triumph vs. Albertus Magnus

BOSTON – Netting the first 13 goals of the afternoon, Emmanuel men's lacrosse cruised to their eighth straight win on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Albertus Magnus Falcons, 20-2, at Clemente Field on Senior Day in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

The eight-game win streak is the longest since 2023 and moves the Saints to 8-5 (7-0 GNAC, 5-0 GNAC North). The Falcons have lost five straight, falling to 4-8 (1-5 GNAC, 1-2 GNAC South) this season.

Prior to the start of the game, Emmanuel Athletics recognized the careers of the Class of 2025's Evan Decker, Sanzio DiGesualdo, Jack Antico, and Ryan Etzo, in a Senior Day ceremony.

The run of 13 straight goals started with a 6-0 first quarter for the Saints. Junior Cole Cloney scored a pair in the quarter, adding one assist, while sophomore Cooper Mehlhorn added one goal and two assists in the frame.

Another eight goals followed in the second quarter, helping the Saints to a 14-1 lead. Etzo and Mehlhorn each scored twice in the quarter before Falcons junior Derrick Mejia broke through for Albertus Magnus. Junior Ty Carroll capped off the scoring in the first half in the 14-1 first half.

Emmanuel would go on to outscore Albertus Magnus 6-1 in the second half, as the Saints remained perfect in conference play with the 20-2 win.

Ten different Saints found the back of the net on Saturday, led by Etzo's four goals. Mehlhorn and Cloney added hat tricks for the Saints while DiGesualdo finished with two goals and two assists. First-year goalie Colby Enos made a pair of saves in 30 minutes of play, earning his eighth consecutive win to move to 8-4 on the year.

The Saints continue on with a Wednesday, April 16, road game at 5:00 p.m. against Rivier. Albertus Magnus heads to Anna Maria on Tuesday, April 15, for a 6:00 p.m. faceoff.
