Emmanuel Athletics Announces The Hall of Fame Class of 2025

BOSTON – The Emmanuel College Athletics Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the newest members of the Emmanuel Athletics Hall of Fame. The 10 members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 have made significant impacts during their time with the institution. The Class of 2025 includes six individual student-athletes, two coaches/administrators, one team, and one extraordinary supporter.

Started in 1991, the Emmanuel Athletics Hall of Fame currently has 31 individual members and one team. The Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be enshrined on Saturday, October 18. A cocktail hour will take place from 5:00-6:00 p.m. before the formal ceremony and induction begins at 6:00 p.m.

Curtis Abram (Men's Volleyball): Graduating from Emmanuel in 2011, Abram is one of only eight Saints ever to be named an All-American. Voted on by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), Abram's All-American senior season produced top-10 statistical rankings in NCAA Division III, placing second in aces per set (0.83), fifth in kills per set (4.27), and ninth in hitting percentage (.342).

Over his career, Abram appeared in 417 sets over 125 career matches, both second-most in program history. He is one of six men's volleyball players with at least 1,000 career kills, holding the program record with 1,662. In his 125-match career, Abram contributed a total of 2,047 points, which calculates the combination of points won through kills, aces, and blocks. His 2,047 career points responsible for are nearly 400 more than the Saint below him.

Abram earned All-Conference Second Team honors as a sophomore before being named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First Team as a junior and senior. His conference accolades continued by being voted the GNAC Player of the Year as a senior. Abram capped off his final season by being named an Andrew Yosinoff Senior Athletic Achievement Award recipient, adding to his long list of accomplishments in 2011.

Chris Curtis (Men's Lacrosse): Regarded as one of the best men's lacrosse players in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) history, Curtis adds the Emmanuel Athletics Hall of Fame to his list of accomplishments, which includes a previous election into the GNAC Hall of Fame in 2023. Curtis remains the only lacrosse player in conference history to be named to the GNAC Hall of Fame, which began recognizing student-athletes, teams, and administrators in 2010.

A graduate of Emmanuel in 2016, Curtis is one of eight Emmanuel athletes to be named an All-American, earning his nod to the All-American list from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) following his senior season. That same year, Curtis was named the GNAC Offensive Player of the Year for the second time in his career and was named an Andrew Yosinoff Senior Athletic Achievement Award recipient.

Curtis is the program's all-time leader in goals with 138 and points with 195. He finished his Saints career as a three-time member of the All-Conference First Team at midfield while helping push the men's lacrosse program to three consecutive GNAC Championships in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Curtis remains one of only three players in team history to compete in the USILA Division III North-South Senior All-Star Game.

Tony DaRocha (Cross Country/Track & Field Head Coach): The longest-tenured cross country and track & field coach in Emmanuel's history, DaRocha spent 17 years as head coach of the men's and women's programs, starting in 2001.

A seven-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Coach of the Year, DaRocha led the Saints to the men's and women's cross country titles in 2013 while adding two additional women's cross country conference championships in 2015 and 2018.

Over his 17 seasons, DaRocha coached 38 individual cross country All-Conference student-athletes, including the 2008 GNAC Women's Cross Country Individual Champion and the 2013 GNAC Men's Cross Country Individual Champion. DaRocha coached the Saints Indoor Track & Field programs to 12 All-New England and All-ECAC performances. In the outdoor program, DaRocha coached Emmanuel student-athletes to 32 All-England performances and 14 All-ECAC finishes.

Catherine Davis (Softball): A 2016 graduate of Emmanuel, Davis remains one of the best players in the history of the Emmanuel Softball program. Beyond topping the career starts record in team history with 157, Davis sits inside the top three in nearly every statistical career category, dating back to 2001, when records became available. She has the most hits in team history with 207 and remains the only Saint with over 200 hits in a career. Davis is the program's leader in career doubles, triples, total bases, and runs batted in.

Davis was named a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First Team member at shortstop in three of her four seasons at Emmanuel. As a sophomore, Davis was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Northeast Region as a Third Team shortstop. The following season, Davis was again recognized by the NFCA, securing a nomination to the All-Region First Team.

Following graduation, Davis returned to the program as an assistant coach for four years from 2017-2021. While in the assistant role, Davis was part of the coaching staff that brought Emmanuel their first GNAC Softball Championship in program history.

Iman Davis (Women's Basketball): The all-time leading scorer in Emmanuel women's basketball history, Davis's record of 1,732 points has stood strong since earning the record in 2010. A graduate of the Class of 2010, Davis was previously inducted into the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Hall of Fame in 2019, as her accomplishments are unmatched in the history of Emmanuel women's basketball.

Combining to go 95-23 over her four years, including 43-4 in GNAC play, Davis, a graduate in the Class of 2010, helped the Saints to four GNAC Women's Basketball Championships from 2007-2010. She was named the GNAC Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior, and was voted to the All-Conference First Team in three of her four seasons.

Regionally, Davis earned spots on the All-New England First, Second, and Third Team in her career by both the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and D3Hoops.com. Following her junior season, D3Hoops.com named her an All-American Honorable Mention after averaging 18.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. Davis remains the only player in Emmanuel women's basketball program history to be an All-Region player in three consecutive seasons. In her senior season, Davis was presented with one of the Andrew Yosinoff Senior Athletic Achievement Awards.

Amber Di Nucci (Women's Soccer): The program record holder for games started over her career with 87, Di Nucci, a member of the Class of 2011, made the most of every opportunity to make an impact for the Saints and sits inside the top five in offensive production in Emmanuel women's soccer history.

Sitting third in program history with 51 career goals, while being the program's leader in career assists with 42, Di Nucci's combined numbers place her third in Emmanuel women's soccer program history with 144 career points. She is one of only four Saints with at least 100 career points and is the only Saint women's soccer player with a career of at least 30 goals and 20 assists. Of her 51 career goals, Di Nucci accounted for 15 game-winning tallies, which also stands as a program record.

Di Nucci was a four-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First Team forward and earned Rookie of the Year honors from the GNAC in 2007, followed by Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2008 from the conference. She is only one of six student-athletes in GNAC history to win a Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year award in the course of her career. She finished her athletic career by being named an Andrew Yosinoff Senior Athletic Achievement Award recipient.

Sr. Anne Donovan, SNDdeN (Extraordinary Service/Support): A graduate of the Class of 1962, Sr. Anne Donovan, SNDdeN, has played a vital role in the development of Emmanuel Athletics throughout her time at the institution.

Upon her return to campus in 1982 as a member of the Emmanuel Corporate Board and later a Board of Trustees member, Sr. Anne helped the institution build the foundation of Emmanuel's athletic department. What started as a department of five teams through the 1980s and into the early-90s, quickly grew into a department with more than a dozen programs.

In the late-90s and early 2000s, Sr. Anne's planning in the development and construction of the Jean Yawkey Center, including a state-of-the-art gymnasium, now known for Andy Yosinoff Court, continued her vision for the future of athletics at Emmanuel College. After becoming Emmanuel's Treasurer and Vice President of Finance, the foundation built by Sr. Anne has flourished into 18 NCAA Division III programs.

Rob Williams-Hinton (Men's Basketball): A 2009 graduate of Emmanuel, Williams-Hinton is one of the all-time greats in Emmanuel men's basketball history. Williams-Hinton's 112 career games played and 111 career starts both sit atop the program record books, two of the numerous program records he holds.

With 1,778 career points, Williams-Hinton is the Saints all-time leading scorer in men's basketball history. Williams-Hinton is the only player in team history with at least 600 field goals made, including 197 made three-pointers, placing him second in the program's history books in three-pointers made. He holds the career programs record in steals, sits second in scoring average and assists, and fourth in career free throws made and defensive rebounds.

Williams-Hinton was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Second Team as a sophomore and First Team as a junior and senior. Before his graduation in 2009, Williams-Hinton was the recipient of the Andrew Yosinoff Senior Athletic Achievement Award.

2006 Women's Volleyball: One of the best teams in Emmanuel women's volleyball history, the 2006 program capped off its three-peat of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament Championships in the 2006 season. Going 21-11 over their 32 games, the 2006 program went on a program-record 17-match winning streak en route to the GNAC Title, a record that still stands strong to this day.

The Saints outscored opponents 51-11 over the winning streak, with only two matches reaching five sets. Emmanuel finished a perfect 11-0 in GNAC play that season and claimed the GNAC Title after a quarterfinal win over Simmons (3-0), a semifinal win over Johnson & Wales (3-2), and a championship triumph over Rivier (3-1).

Four Saints were voted to the GNAC All-Conference Teams following the season, while Lindsey Parker ('09) was voted GNAC Player of the Year and head coach Joe Seid was named the GNAC Coach of the Year. Parker was joined by Amy Miklus ('07) on the All-Conference First Team while Kendra Barry ('07) and Beth Ferreira ('07) were named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Andrew Yosinoff (Women's Basketball Head Coach): The longest-tenured head coach in Emmanuel College history, Yosinoff has spent 48 seasons on the sidelines for the Saints and is the winningest women's basketball coach in NCAA Division III history. He spent 17 years as Emmanuel's Director of Athletics during his time coaching and remains the head coach of the women's basketball team while also serving as an Associate Athletic Director and Athletic Alumni Development Liaison.

Starting his career in 1977, Yosinoff has collected a 929-319 record, as he sits in eighth place in coaching wins in NCAA women's basketball history across all three divisions. Yosinoff has coached the Saints to 18 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships and 21 NCAA Tournament appearances, including the run to the Final Four in the 2000-01 season. The Saints Final Four squad remains one of only two teams in the GNAC Hall of Fame.

Yosinoff was elected to the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003. He coached the USA Women in the 2005 Maccabiah Games to the gold medal. He was elected to the GNAC Hall of Fame, alongside the 2000-01 team, in 2010. He was presented the Red Auerbach Coach of the Year Award in 2011 by the Jewish Coaches Organization. He was recently named to the Jewish Sports Heritage Association Hall of Fame, Class of 2026. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Yosinoff was elected to the URI Hall of Fame in 2013 for his outstanding tennis career as a member of the Rams.
