BOSTON - Emmanuel men's lacrosse had its season come to a close on Saturday morning as the No. 4-seeded Saints fell to the No. 5-seed, Norwich Cadets, 19-5, in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinals from Clemente Field. The Saints drop to 8-9 in the loss, while the Cadets move to 9-7.
The Cadets scored the first three goals of the morning in the opening six minutes, jumping out to a 3-0 lead. After junior
Brandon Shuman got the Saints on the board halfway through the first quarter, the visiting Cadets added another trifecta of goals, scored in a span of 3:17, to help them to a 6-1 lead through a quarter.
After the two sides shared goals to start the second quarter, the Cadets offense exploded for 12 consecutive goals spanning from 8:12 remaining in the second quarter to 8:25 left in the fourth quarter, on the way to taking a 19-3 lead. The Saints scored the final two tallies as the Cadets advanced to the GNAC Semifinals following a strong 19-5 performance.

Norwich heads to the top-seeded and unbeaten Rivier Raiders on Wednesday, April 29, for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff in the semifinals.
