BRIGHTON, Mass. - Emmanuel softball had its season come to a close on Sunday afternoon after falling to the Simmons Sharks, 7-2, at Daly Field. Needing two wins to advance to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship Series, the Saints were eliminated after one game, as the Sharks won Pod A.

Sydney Taylor, leaving Emmanuel trailing 3-1.
The teams traded runs in the third with Simmons taking a 4-1 lead with an RBI double by Zoe Soule. Taylor was back at it for the Saints as her RBI single scored a run, cutting the deficit back to a pair at 4-2.
The Sharks pulled away in the fifth, posting another three-run frame, as run-scoring doubles for Simmons by Eth and Teagan Buckley gave the Sharks a 7-2 lead.
Taylor finished 3-for-4 in the game with a double and two RBI. Junior
