Biography

AS A SENIOR...

  • Played in all 38 games for the Saints, primarily at second base, as a senior in 2022.
  • Set numerous career-highs including 37 hits, 11 doubles, three home runs, 22 RBI, and 29 runs scored, all while batting .308. The 11 doubles were second-most on the Saints and 13th in the GNAC.
  • Recorded a season-high 12-game hitting streak, spanning from April 20, 2022, until April 30, 2022. The program went 11-1 during that stretch, with the only loss breaking up a program-record 20-game winning streak. Hinson had four games with three hits in her 12-game hitting stretch.
  • Recorded at least one run scored over the same 12-game stretch from April 20, 2022, until April 30, 2022. In total, Hinson scored at least once in 21 of the Saints 38 games.
  • In the field, finished the year with a team-high 85 assists to go with the third-most double plays turned with six.
  • Named to the All-Conference Third Team at second base following the 2022 campaign.

AS A JUNIOR...

  • Put together a standout campaign during the Saints GNAC Softball Championship season, batting .326 with 18 runs and 17 RBI to earn GNAC Third Team All-Conference honors at second base while also representing Emmanuel on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team
  • Recorded a 14-game hitting streak from March 27 through April 24, hitting a combined .489 (23-for-47) over that period to help the Saints win all 14 games
  • Named the GNAC Player of the Week on April 5 and also earned a spot on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on April 12
  • Collected nine multi-hit games including a pair of three-hit performances in GNAC wins over Norwich on April 3 and Dean on April 24
  • EC posted a 15-1 record in games that Hinson scored at least one run in during the season
  • In Emmanuel's NCAA tournament debut, went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI to power the Saints past No. 11 Christopher Newport University in a 3-2 victory

AS A SOPHOMORE...

  • Played in four games during first season with the Saints, starting two contests before the 2020 campaign was cut short due to the CoVID19 epidemic
  • Made Emmanuel debut on March 8 in the Saints 6-4 victory over Lesley University
  • Started back-to-back games on March 9 vs. Carroll (WI) and Carnegie Mellon, scoring a run to go along with a walk and RBI vs. CM
  • Finished the campaign with a 1.000 fielding percentage

AS A FIRST YEAR... (at Newbury College)

  • Appeared in 39 games for Newbury College
  • Made collegiate debut on March 10 vs. North Park, striking out a pair in a clean inning of work
  • Batted .306 on the year, collecting 33 hits including six doubles, one triple and one home run
  • Collected 10 multi-hit games including a season-best four-hit outting in a 10-5 win over Salem State on March 21
  • Finished the season with 17 RBI, 12 runs score and two stolen bases
  • Started 19 games in the circle for the Nighthawks, compiling a 9-13 overall record with one save
  • Threw a team-high 130.0 innings of work, striking out 45 players on the season

  • Hinson earned five varsity letters at La Habra HS in Whittier, Calif., with three from softball and two from tennis
