Troi Melton will be joining the Women's basketball coaching staff starting in the 2025-2026 campaign as an assistant coach.
Originally from the New York area, Melton is a Boston University graduate with both a Bachelors in communication, and a Masters of science. While at BU, Melton was a mainstay on the basketball team for five seasons. She helped to lift the Terriers to win an America East regular season conference title.
After her collegiate career, she went on to play basketball professionally in Romania as part of the Politehnica lasi Basketball Club where she gained valuable experience and adapted to different European basketball systems.
Since the end of her professional basketball career, she has shifted her focus on developing the next generation of basketball players. She has held one-on-one and small group training sessions with basketball players ranging from youth to college level, focusing on skill development, conditioning, basketball IQ and mental toughness.
Melton will bring a wealth of knowledge to the staff, while focusing primarily on culture building, strength & conditioning, fundamentals and game understanding.
