Biography

AS A SENIOR...

  • Saw the field in 15 games, making 10 starts during final collegiate campaign.
  • Capped EC career with 36 ground balls to go with 25 caused turnovers, both new career-highs.
  • Recorded at least one ground ball in 14 of 15 contests on the year including a season-high five groundballs on April 8 in the Saints 18-10 GNAC win vs. Dean.
  • Caused a career-high five turnovers in the Saints 14-7 GNAC Quarterfinal victory over Colby-Sawyer College in the GNAC postseason on April 29, 2023.
  • Added one draw control win on the campaign.
  • Named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team.
  • Honored on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District squad.

AS A JUNIOR...

  • Played 17 games for the Saints, making 16 starts for the program in 2022.
  • Finished the season with a career-high 30 ground balls to go with 15 caused turnovers.
  • Recorded at least one ground ball in the Saints last 15 games, including a career-high four ground balls on April 23, 2022, vs. Norwich. Added a season-high three caused turnovers in the same game.
  • Had a career-high three draw controls in an 18-9 win vs. Colby-Sawyer on April 9, 2022.
  • Named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team.

AS A SOPHOMORE... 

  • Named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team following an impressive slate where she played in and started eight games in the Saints defensive end.
  • Paced the EC defensive unit that held opponents to a GNAC-low 7.44 goals per game on the season which also ranked 28th nationally among NCAA D-III programs.
  • Recorded first collegiate point with an assist on March 27 in Emmanuel's 15-13 win over Johnson & Wales.
  • Followed that up with her first collegiate goal on March 31 in EC's 20-3 victory over Anna Maria.
  • The Saints defense held opponents to single-digit goal totals in six consecutive games from March 31 through April 28 in which they posted a 4.67 goals against average.
  • Closed the year with 17 caused turnovers to rank seventh in the GNAC, adding 12 groundballs and one draw control.
  • Named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team.

AS A FIRST YEAR... 

  • Made collegiate lacrosse debut on February 29 in Emmanuel's 17-9 victory over Wentworth before the 2020 season was cancelled due to the CoVID19 pandemic, collecting one groundball, one draw control and one caused turnover in the win.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...

  • Santangeli earned four varsity letters playing lacrosse at Watertown HS and was also a three-sport athlete at WHS, earning four varsity letters playing basketball and soccer
  • Tabbed a member of the CT Rising Star team as a junior
  • Named an All-Star as well as All-League for the WCLC League
  • Led Watertown to the WCLC Championship in 2019
  • Honored as the Indians Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and the Unsung Hero in 2018
