Jake DeLuise is the Saints' starting libero and a three-time captain of the Men's Volleyball Team at Emmanuel.  Currently, DeLuise and the Saints are ranked 13th in the nation with a record of 19 wins and just 4 losses.  We served up seven questions for DeLuise to answer about life on and off the volleyball court.

1. How did you start playing volleyball?

"I started playing volleyball as a freshman in high school, my parents suggested it after a few of my older cousins had great experiences playing for my high school coach."

2. What is your favorite thing about playing for Emmanuel?

"My favorite thing is getting a chance to play with my best friends at a great school."

3. What was the best meal that you have gotten from the dining hall?

"Sushi day freshman year: all you can eat sushi. Let's go."

4. What is your favorite TV show and why?

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - one of the funniest shows on TV...Tied with Seinfeld as number 1 for me."

5. What has been your favorite team trip?

"Destroying Lasell in straight sets last Friday."

6. What are some of your hobbies aside from volleyball?

"Fishing, boating, ping pong, wiffleball"

7. What is one thing about you that might surprise people?

"I plan to someday be able to call a hawk to my arm and then send it on missions."
