Women's Volleyball Storms back in 3-1 Road Victory Over NEC

HENNIKER. N.H. — Emmanuel women's volleyball earned a hard-fought 3–1 win at New England College on Friday night, improving to 15–1 overall and 2–0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Comference. The Saints dropped the first set but rebounded with steady play to clinch the final three sets (17-25, 25-19, 25-18,25-12).

The Saints struggled in the opener, committing errors and failing to keep up with NEC's early intensity. Emmanuel's hitting line was modest: 11 kills, 5 errors on 37 attempts (.162). New England executed well, with 14 kills and only 3 errors on 32 swings (.344)

Emmanuel regrouped in the next set, relying on steadier ball control and fewer unforced mistakes, gradually building separation and closed it out. The third set was the turning point — The Saints dominated in both hitting and consistency with 19 kills, just 4 errors on 37 attempts (.405). Meanwhile, New England managed 10 kills, 3 errors on 30 attempts (.233)

The Saints appeared to take full control, applying pressure to every part of NEC's game. Emmanuel closed emphatically, refusing to let New England regain footing. The Saints logged 12 kills, 3 errors on 31 attempts (.290) while New England produced 8 kills and endured 4 errors on 30 swings (.133)

For the Saints: Letitia Bossou led with 18 kills, Ayla Evans added 12 kills and 4 aces, Kason Huynh drove the offense with 25 assists, dug 13, and chipped in 7 kills, and Madison Sherman led in blocks with 3, adding defensive presence at the net.

Next up for the Saints, continue their GNAC game road stretch at Lassell Univerisyt on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:00 p.m.
