BOSTON - With 13 first half goals and shutting out the AMCATS in the second half, Emmanuel women's lacrosse kept their conference unbeaten streak alive following a 23-4 victory over the Anna Maria AMCATS on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Clemente Field.
The Saints move to 5-5 (4-0 GNAC, 3-0 GNAC North) with their second straight win. The AMCATS are still in search of their first victory, falling to 0-9 (0-5 GNAC, 0-4 GNAC North).
Emmanuel jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the opening 3:34 with junior

Rachel Canedy and sophomore
Hannah Hoenshell chipped in one goal each, helping the Saints to their four-goal advantage. Canedy added two more scores in the quarter for the Saints while Anna Maria seniors
Riley Michaud and
Ivy Ballou combined for three goals for the AMCATS, as the Saints led 6-3 through 15 minutes.
The first five goals of the second quarter belonged to Emmanuel with five different players scoring, including the first career goal for first-year
Rylie Hogan. In total, the Saints outscored the AMCATS 7-1 in the second quarter, as the home side held a 13-4 lead at the half.
The Saints held the AMCATS off the scoreboard in the second half while netting 10 goals of their own. Saints senior

Anna Nichols both scored two goals in the second half for the Saints while first-year
Sam Moran netter her first career goal, capping off the 23-4 victory.
Wright finished the afternoon with a game-high six goals to go along with four draw controls. Canedy scored four goals twhile Nichols chipped in with a hat trick. Senior
Isabella Thomas made five stops, improving to 5-5 on the season.
Michaud finished the day with three goals to go with a pair of ground balls. Rookie goalie
Grace Holden made 19 saves in the Anna Maria goal, but falls to 0-8 with the loss.
The Saints continue their season with more GNAC play, traveling to Johnson & Wales on Wednesday, April 2, for a 5:00 p.m. match. The AMCATS travel to Framingham State on Wednesday for a non-conference match at 4:30 p.m.
