PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Using a five-goal third quarter to pull away, Emmanuel women's lacrosse remained unbeaten in conference play, defeating the Johnson & Wales Wildcats, 12-6, on Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Delaney Brown finished with seven ground balls and six caused turnovers as the Saints improve to 6-5 (5-0 GNAC, 3-0 GNAC North).

With a one-goal lead at halftime, the Saints make their mark over the next 15 minutes for the critical GNAC win. After Kulian scored to open the third quarter with 12:09 remaining, the Saints defense locked in, keeping the Wildcats off the board for the remaining 27:09 of the game.
Marschitz scored her first of the night just 49 seconds after Kulian tied the game. After a stalemate in scoring through much of the third quarter, Emmanuel netted four goals in 2:05 to take command of the game. First-year
Emilia Ferraro started the late-third quarter scoring surge, giving the Saints an 8-6 edge. Wright, Marschitz, and junior
Avery Robillard soon followed, boosting the lead to 11-6 through three quarters. Nichols added a goal early in the fourth, leading to the 12-6 Saints win.
The Saints take a three-game winning streak into the weekend, as they return on Saturday, April 5, to host Dean at 4:00 p.m. The Wildcats look to bounce back on Saturday as they travel to Regis for a noon face-off.
