BOSTON - Despite just two players reaching double figures for the Saints, the home side managed to force 42 turnovers in Wednesday night's 72-45 victory over the New England College Pilgrims in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play from Yosinoff Court. The win moves the Saints to 12-5 (5-0 GNAC) while the Pilgrims fall to 12-6 (3-3 GNAC).
After a fairly even first quarter, the Saints held a two-point advantage going into one of their strongest 10 minute stretches of the season. Emmanuel's two-point edge quickly exploded into a 20-point lead in only a span of 5:24. The Saints opened the second quarter on a 21-3 run, shooting 8-of-14 from the floor, grabbing control at 36-16. The Saints strong second quarter didn't stop there as they outscored the Pilgrims 33-7 in the frame, using 13-for-26 shooting from the floor, while forcing 16 NEC turnovers, as the Saints led 48-20 at half.
In the second half, the home team coasted, maintaining the 20-plus-point advantage, leading by as many as 34 in the fourth quarter, on the way to a dominant 72-45 win on Wednesday night.

Nylah Mitchell were the two Saints to finish in double figures, both scoring 10 points in the win. Junior
Geanna Bryant stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, seven steals, and five assists.
For the Pilgrims,
Mackenzie McDonald led all scorers with 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-for-4 from beyond the arc.
Bailey Burke added 10 points for the visitors.
The Saints are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 31, traveling to Lasell University for a 1:00 p.m. tip. The Lasers enter Saturday with the most wins in the GNAC overall, sitting at 15-3 this season.
