SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Emmanuel men's volleyball snapped a two-match losing skid with the use of a straight sets victory (25-19, 25-20, 25-15) against the American International College Yellow Jackets on Wednesday evening from Henry Butova Gymnasium. The Saints move to 7-8 with the win, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 1-8.

The Saints earned the opening set win thanks to a pair of small scoring runs at the end of the frame. Tied 15-15, Emmanuel used two different 4-0 surges, on the way to a 25-19 set win.

In the second set, the visitors jumped out to an early 12-6 advantage and coasted to the victory thanks to that advantage. Emmanuel led by as many as eight in the second set, and despite needing four set points, the Saints capped off the frame with a kill by senior Trey Guest for a 25-20 set win.

In the final frame, a 7-0 run in the early going, paired with a 6-1 finish to the match helped the Saints earn a straight sets win and a 25-15 third set win.

Guest finished the match with a game-high 14 kills to go with seven digs. Junior Cayson Branconier added 11 kills, hitting .368 from the floor on the night.

The Saints are back in action on Sunday, March 8, with another ranked team coming into Yosinoff Court. Emmanuel welcomes No. 8 NYU to Boston for a 12:00 p.m. first serve.
