FRANKLIN, Mass. — The Emmanuel College women's lacrosse team put on a dominant display Saturday at Grant Field, rolling to a 17–3 victory over Dean College, extending their win-streak to six-straight games, to improve to 10–4 overall and 9–1 in conference play.
The Saints wasted no time establishing control, erupting for eleven first-quarter goals to put the game out of reach before halftime. Midway through the opening period, Emilia Ferraro got Emmanuel on the board first, finishing off an assist from Maddie McCulloch. After Dean briefly knotted the score at 1–1 on a free-position goal by Emma Mock, the Saints responded with an 10-goal surge to close the quarter to go up 11-1 at the end of the first period.
Madeline Wright was the standout of the afternoon, finishing with four goals and one assist across all four quarters, including a pair of free-position scores. Wright also contributed consistently on draw controls (4) and ground balls (2), while Avery Robillard was equally impactful, recording two goals and two assists, also winning multiple draw controls (2) and ground balls (2). Anna Nichols and Abigail Graham each chipped in two goals, and Delaney Johnston tallied two goals in a burst midway through the first quarter.
Emmanuel held a commanding 31–13 shot advantage and won the ground-ball battle decisively, 32–15. The Saints also controlled draw controls 14–8 on the day.
In goal, Savannah Duquette turned away six Dean shots over 45 minutes of work, while starter Keira Walsh (6-4) earned the win, making two saves in the opening period before giving way to Duquette in the second quarter.
