Women's Lacrosse Wins Eighth Straight in Senior Day Victory vs. Lasell, 14-11

BOSTON – Emmanuel women's lacrosse boosted its win streak to eight games while taking control of the No. 2 spot for the upcoming postseason, coming in a 14-11 victory over the Lasell Lasers on Saturday afternoon from Clemente Field in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action. The Saints improve to 12-4 (11-1 GNAC), while Lasell drops to 12-3 (9-3 GNAC) in the loss.

Prior to the start of the game, Emmanuel celebrated the careers of Class of 2026 graduates Ella Marschitz, Madeline Wright, Avery Robillard, Alexandra Gencarelli, Reese Pavao, and Halle Miller in a brief Senior Day ceremony.

After the two sides swapped goals in the opening five minutes, the Saints netted four more goals to end the first half, all in a span of 4:45, to take a 5-1 lead. All five first quarter goals were scored by different Saints, as they held control early.

First-year Delaney Johnston boosted the lead to 7-1 with back-to-back tallies to open the second quarter in a 1:16 span, giving the Saints their largest lead of the day. The home side rode the momentum to the end of the half, as Emmanuel led 8-3 at the break.

After trading four goals each in the third quarter, Lasell made its closest pass early in the fourth quarter, scoring consecutive goals in a 1:12 span to trail 12-9. But the Saints broke the momentum with goals by Robillard and first-year Daphne Blake, reestablishing a five-goal edge. The Lasers netted a pair in the final minutes, but the Saints remained perfect in the month of April, thanks to a 14-11 win.

Johnston and sophomore Emilia Ferraro each finished with a hat trick in the win. Wright and Robillard added two goals and two assists each. Miller tallied her first career point with an assist in the third quarter, while adding four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

The Saints wrap up the regular season on Wednesday, April 22, with a trip to the University of Saint Joseph for a 6:00 p.m. GNAC faceoff.
