EAST BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer collected Beantown bragging rights Wednesday night as it shutout its city rival Emmanuel, 3-0, at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park. The triumph extended the Rams unbeaten streak to seven straight.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mohamed Mehaya converted a penalty kick 8:16 into the action to give Suffolk an early advantage.
- The Rams used the counter attack to its favor 13 minutes later. Mehaya played a ball to switch the field, while Dylan Trachtenberg cut it on his right foot and curled it over the keeper from the edge of the box to double the distance.
- With just over one minute to play before the teams headed to the locker room, Sebastian Gonzalez Vazquez took the ball down the right side line and fired a shot. Saints keeper Arisitidis Stefanis made the diving save, but the deflection bounced back Lucca Giammattei, who wasted no time in centering a pass to Yan Haiat. Haiait received the ball at the top of the 10-yard line and flicked a high shot towards the net that sailed past Stefanis' stretched out gloves to pad the margin to 3-0.
KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS
- Ian Caldwell collected the shutout.
- Stefanis took the loss for the Saints despite a four-save performance.
- Isaiah Etienne stopped all three shots he faced in the second half in Emmanuel's net.
The Saints return to conference play in their next match, travelling to Rivier on Saturday, Sept. 26, for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff.
