BOSTON, Mass. - While the weather was cold and damp outside, Women's volleyball (9-2, 4-0) remained red-hot inside on Saturday afternoon, recording another pair of straight-set sweeps. Those wins included a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win over USJ, as well as a beat down of a fellow Boston school, Curry College.
Game one: Emmanuel 3 USJ 0
In the first frame of the day, Emmanuel held a slim 7-6 lead before going on a 6-0 sprint to gain control early on, highlighted by three attack errors from the visitors. USJ was never able to make a run, as a kill from Junior
Letitia Bossou concluded the first set, giving the Saints a 25-13 victory.
USJ posed a challenge in the second set, as both sides remained within a few points of each other throughout the bulk of the frame. The Bluejays held a 15-14 advantage, until a kill from
Delilah Davis knotted the score, and sparked a run. Emmanuel would go on to score the next five points, ultimately taking the set by a score of 25-22.
In the third and final set, the fans were treated to the
Brianna Quinlan show. The first year tallied six kills in the frame alone, as Emmanuel made more quick work of the visitors. The final score of this set was 25-17, as the Saints completed a 3-0 sweep.
Ayla Evans led Emmanuel in kills with 11, as Bossou and Quinlan both tallied nine on the day. Sophomore Libero

The Saints carried that momentum into the second set, using a series of service runs—including four straight aces from Junior
Frances Ramos Rodriguez—to build an early advantage and eventually take the set, 25-15.
The Saints closed out the sweep with another strong start in the third set, pulling away from Curry after the teams were tied at 4-4. Emmanuel finished the match with a 25-13 third-set victory, capped by back-to-back points from
Kason Huynh and a block from Huynh and
