Boston, Mass. - Emmanuel College women's volleyball player Rebecca Stanton (Quincy, Mass.) has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced earlier this week by the conference office. This marks the second consecutive week that the senior has made the Honor Roll after earning the honors during the opening week of the 2011 campaign.

In the early goings of the 2011 season, Stanton has been a force for the Saints by dominating the middle of the court. The senior not only leads the team in kills (143) and hitting percentage (.462) but also leads the GNAC in both statistical categories. Through 10 matches, the Quincy, Mass. native has recorded 10 or more kills in all but two of Emmanuel's matches and is averaging 4.14 kills per set.

Stanton was named to the All-Tournament team for her play in the Saints opening weekend at the 42nd Annual Oneonta State Invitational where she recorded 73 kills over the four matches. Over her four years with Emmanuel, Stanton has recorded 815 kills while hitting at a productive .310 clip.

The Saints return to action on this evening when they host Western Connecticut State University at 7:00 p.m. in the Jean Yawkey Center Gymnasium.
