THE LEAD:  Emmanuel College downed Dean College in a three set sweep, 3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-11), Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's volleyball action at the Andy Yosinoff Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Emmanuel dominated the opening set, out attacking Dean 13 kills to six en route to a 25-17 win.
• The Saints followed with a strong second set, opening a big lead early then closed out the frame 25-11 boasting a .222 hitting percentage
• The third and final set saw more of the same action with the Saints toppling the Bulldogs 25-11. Emmanuel college had their best attacking performance of the day, hitting .364

BY THE NUMBERS

• EC junior Mary Shelow (Miami, Fla.) led all players with 11 kills while Saints sophomore Emily Matozel (Shrewsbury, Mass.) put up seven kills
• Dean libero Sami Mulchay tallied a game high 16 digs
• Emmanuel junior libero Katharine Journeay (Hampton, N.H.) led the team with 16 digs.
• Emmanuel junior Carly Church (Higganum, Conn.) collected a game high 24 assists after joining the 1000 assist club earlier today.
• Shannon Carrol (Massapequa, N.Y.) tallied the games only solo block.
• The Saints victory snaps a three-game losing skid for the Blue and gold.
