NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Sydney Gonzalez led all runners in the women's 6k at the Norwich Cadets Cross Country Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Emmanuel cross country men and women both posted 3rd place team finishes. 

The Saints women were led by Gonzalez, who finished in a new personal best 6k time of 24:22.9. Junior Kendall Newton was next across the line in a time of 25:39.1, a seventh place finish overall, and Julia Kurthy and Molly Hough each had top 15 finishes in scoring for the Saints with times of 26:32.9 and 26:54.3, respectively.

For the Emmanuel men, Ryan Bausch led the way with a Top 10 finish in a new personal best 8k time of 29:24.0. Alex Mazzarelli and Nicholas Ware both finished in the top 15 in 29:57.9 and 30:36.3, respectively. 

Emmanuel cross country has one final tune up before the Great Northeast Athletic Conference XC Championship on November 2. The Saints will compete at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, October 18.
