Women's Basketball Secures No. 7 Seed for GNAC Postseason

BOSTON – After posting a 13-12 record overall, including 8-6 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), Emmanuel women's basketball secured the No. 7 seed for the postseason and open their playoff push with a GNAC Play-In Round game on Monday night on Yosinoff Court.

Coming into Boston, making the short trip from just outside the city is the No. 10 seed Regis College, who hung on to the final playoff position despite losing to the University of Saint Joseph on the last day of the season. The Pride enter the Play-In Round at 6-18 (5-9 GNAC).

Showing their defensive strength for much of the campaign, the Saints will need to depend on their defense to make a run in the GNAC Playoff. Emmanuel enters Monday as the conference's leader in opponent turnovers, steals per game, and blocks per game. The Saints rank 22nd in the NCAA with 4.8 blocks per game and 38th in the NCAA in steals per game at 12.5.

The Pride offense will need a strong showing on Monday and has the opportunity to break through the Saints defense as Regis ranks in the top half of the GNAC in field goals, free throws, and points per game.

Sitting at the top spot in the conference is the Johnson & Wales Wildcats after an impressive season of 22-2 (13-1 GNAC). The Wildcats improved by 12 wins from last season and went from the No. 9 seed in 2024 to the No. 1 seed with home-court advantage in 2025.

Joining the Wildcats at the top of the standing are the No. 2 seed Saint Joseph's Monks, the No. 3 seed Albertus Magnus Falcons, and the No. 4 seed University of Saint Joseph Blue Jays.

Monday's winner on Yosinoff Court makes the long trip north to Saint Joseph's College to take on the Monks at 5:30 p.m.
