Labossiere, Ware Claim GNAC Weekly Honors After Top Finishes at Reggie Lewis Open

WINTHROP, Mass. – In the Saints final meet before the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), junior Pierre Paul Labossiere and sophomore Nicholas Ware were named the GNAC Field and GNAC Track Athlete of the Week, respectively, as announced on Monday evening by the GNAC Office.

Competing at the Reggie Lewis Open, Labossiere earned his GNAC honors with third place in the triple jump and seventh in the high jump. The junior field specialist finished with a distance of 12.62 meters in the triple jump and cleared the bar at 1.80 meters in the high jump.

Ware earned his GNAC award with a second place finish in the 5,000 meters at the Reggie Lewis Open. His time of 17:27.05 marked a new indoor personal best for Ware.

The Saints take this weekend off before the GNAC Indoor Championship Meet on Sunday, Feb. 16, hosted at Boston University. Events for the day start at 11:00 a.m.
