WINTHROP, Mass. – Setting the first outdoor program record of his career, junior
Pierre Paul Labossiere claimed the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors, as announced by the GNAC Office on Monday afternoon.
Competing at the Regis Spring Invite on Friday, Labossiere took to the triple jump and not only won the event with his distance of 13.69 meters, but set a new men's outdoor program record in the process.
His win in the triple jump was one of four top-five finishes for the junior field star, as he added a second in the high jump and fourth in the long jump at Regis. Labossiere would go on to Saturday at the Jim Sheehan Invite and collect a fifth place in the high jump.
The Saints return to action on Friday, April 11, competing in the two-day Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College.
