WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Saints senior
Madeline Wright posted a strong three-game performance over the last week, resulting in her being named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the GNAC Office on Monday afternoon.
Wright powered Emmanuel to a 2–1 week with a dominant all-around performance, totaling 13 goals and one assist for 14 points. She also controlled possession with 23 draw controls while adding seven ground balls and three caused turnovers. Wright highlighted the week with a seven-goal effort in an 18–7 conference win over Norwich.
Through six games this season, the Saints senior midfielder has scored at least three goals in every game, collecting 24 goals for Emmanuel this season. She currently sits second in the conference in scoring, trailing the leader by a pair of tallies.
The Saints return to play on Wednesday, March 18, hosting Wheaton College on Clemente Field at 7:00 p.m.
