THE LEAD – In their final event of the fall season, Saints men's golf made the trip to Shennecossett Golf Course for the Mitchell Invite IV, hosted by the Mitchell Mariners.
EMMANUEL HIGHLIGHTS
- Saints sophomore Ian Reynolds (East Haven, Conn.) cracked the top-10, shooting 10-over-par 81, recording an eighth place finish.
- First-year Diego Serra (New Bedford, Mass.) shot a new collegiate career low, carding a 17-over 88, good for a T13 finish.
- Junior Jackson Keplinger (Cheshire, Mass.) scored a 19th place finish after turning in a round of 95 (+24).
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- Mariners junior Seamus McLean (Groton, Conn.) came home with the individual win on Mitchell's home course. McLean's three-over 74 was good for a one-shot victory and his third medalist of the season.
- Wesleyan University came away with the team victory with a combined score of 318, earning a 13-shot win over Western Connecticut State. Wesleyan had three golfers inside the top-five, helping them to the team title.
UP NEXT
- The 2022 fall schedule has come to an end for the Saints. The team plans to return to action again in the spring of 2023.
