WINTHROP, Mass. - In the Saints last event before the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Golf Championship, sophomore Andrew Lavoie claimed the victory on Oct. 7, clinching the GNAC Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The second-year player for Emmanuel shot a 2-over-par round of 73 at Shennecossett Golf Course last Tuesday, in an event hosted by Mitchell. In five matches this season, Lavoie has finished no worse than T7, collecting four top-five finishes, including the win last week in the Mitchell Invite IV. 

The GNAC Championship is set to take place Tuesday, Oct. 14, and Wednesday, Oct. 1, at New Haven Country Club in Hamden, Conn.
