Men's Golf Scores Top Spot at EC Invite, Rookie Ouellette Claims Medalist Honors

HINGHAM, Mass. - Emmanuel men's golf continued its strong start to the 2025 season, breaking through for its first team victory of the season on Thursday afternoon at the EC Invite from South Shore Country Club. The Saints combined to shoot 315, besting second-place Lesley by 23 shots.

Leading the Emmanuel charge was first-year Jack Ouellette who fired off a round of 1-over-par, 73, on his way to claiming medalist honors. He opened with a front nine 37 and closed with a strong finish, on his way to a back nine of even-par, on his way to a +1, medalist performance.

Sophomore Andrew Lavoie came in fourth with a round of 79 (+7) while junior Ryan Brunet posted an 8-over round of 80, good for fifth place. Rounding out the counting scores for the Saints was rookie Sean Fenton, who came in seventh, thanks to a round of 83.

The Saints round of 315 is the second-lowest team total of the season for the Saints, as they were nine shots higher than the program-record-setting 306 the program shot on Sept. 16. Thursday's score of 315 is the fourth-lowest score in team history.

Emmanuel is back on course next week at the Mitchell Invite IV, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, hosted at Shennecossett Golf Course.
