NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Emmanuel men's golf returned to play for the spring half of its schedule on Tuesday, participating in the Alling Golf Club Spring Invitational. Seven different programs from New England took part in the inaugural event, as the Saints finished in fourth place, combining to shoot 318 on the day.
First-year
Jack Ouellette posted his fourth career sub-80 round in his rookie season, shooting a 6-over-par, 76, on the par 70 layout. Ouellette's back nine of even par, 35, was tied for the best final nine holes by any player on the day, as he finished in a tie for sixth.
Junior
Ryan Brunet opened his spring with a round of 79, good for T11. Brunet opened with a frontside 36 before carding a back nine of 43, on the way to his round of 9-over.
Sophomore
Andrew Lavoie and first-year
Sean Fenton rounded out the counting scores for Emmanuel on Tuesday, as Lavoie posted an 81, while Fenton carded an 82 in the season opener.
The Saints are back in action on Thursday, April 9, participating in the inaugural Lynx Invitational, hosted by Lesley University at President's Golf Course in Quincy, Mass. Tee times for the four-team event start at 10:00 a.m.
