GREENWOOD, Ind. - A combination of two student-athletes from the Emmanuel men's volleyball and men's golf programs and one student-athlete from each of the Emmanuel men's lacrosse and men's wrestling programs, have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division III Men's At-Large Academic All-District® Team, as announced by the CSC on Tuesday, June 16.

Representing men's volleyball are rising senior Cayson Branconier and Class of 2026 graduate Nick Sciabica. From men's golf, rising junior Andrew Lavoie and Class of 2026 graduate Diego Serra. Rising senior Brandon Shuman represents men's lacrosse, while rising senior Justin Hood becomes men's wrestling's first selection to the CSC Division III Men's At-Large Academic All-District® Team in program history.

Nomination to the CSC Academic All-District® Team requires a combination of academic and athletic achievements to be selected. Academically, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

Athletically, for men's volleyball and lacrosse, those selected must start in at least 66 percent of their team's games or participate in at least 90 percent of their team's contests. Golfers are eligible if they play in 70 percent of a team's events or were in the lineup for their respective conference championship tournament, while wrestlers must compete in 75 percent of team scoring events or at a conference championship meet.

Branconier makes the list for the first time after playing in 25 matches, including 19 starts for the Saints. The rising senior had his best season in a Saints uniform with career-highs of 130 kills and 24 total blocks.

Sciabica played in all 26 matches this season, starting at the libero position every match, while nearly playing every set of the season. Now a three-time selection to the At-Large Academic All-District® Team, Sciabica played in 88 of the Saints 89 sets this season.

Lavoie backed up an impressive rookie campaign with a solid sophomore season, earning his first nod to the CSC Academic All-District® Team. His 2025-26 scoring average of 78.92 is the fourth-lowest in a single season in team history, while his finish at the conference championship netted him All-Conference Second Team honors.

Serra also made his first CSC Academic All-District® Team, as the Class of 2026 graduate wrapped up his career this past April. His 23 career appearances for the Saints have him a a three-way tie for 10^th-most in program history.

Shuman found himself on the CSC Academic All-District® Team for the first time in his career with a breakout season for Emmanuel. The rising senior made 16 appearances for the Saints, scoring 21 goals to go with eight assists, while leading the team in game-winning tallies with three.

Hood rounds out the list and becomes Emmanuel's first men's wrestler represented on the CSC Academic All-District® Team. In the Saints inaugural season, Hood helped Emmanuel to a 14^th place finish at regionals, while individually scoring sixth place in the 165-pound division.

Unlike in past years, the nomination to the Academic All-District® team does not necessarily move a student-athlete into consideration for the Academic All-American® ballot. A committee, comprised of Academic All-American® Core Members and members from the CSC will determine which athletes move to the All-American ballot.

Once the ballot is released, CSC members have until June 23 to vote for Academic All-Americans®. The CSC will announce the Academic All-American® Teams on Wednesday, July 8.
