Men's Golf Posts Seventh Place Finish at Two-Day RIC Spring Invitational

WARWICK, R.I. – Emmanuel men's golf completed their second event of the Spring season, competing in the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational, a two-day tournament hosted at Valley Country Club. Over two days, the Saints shot 324 in round one and 323 in round two, totaling their fourth-lowest two-day score in program history, a 647 (+71), placing seventh in the event.

Senior Ian Reynolds led the Saints with a two-day total of 153 (+9), good for a tie for fourth place individually. Reynolds opened the tournament with a 3-over round of 75 before posting a day two score of 78. First-year Andrew Lavoie scored a 10th-place finish with rounds of 79 and 77, shooting a two-day total of 12-over.

Sophomore Ryan Brunet finished in 29th after his rounds of 84 and 82 gave him a two-round total of 22-over-par. Senior Gianni Ridolfi posted a pair of 86's, rounding out the counting scores for the Saints over the two days.

The Saints only shot a lower two-day total in the 2012 USM Fall Classic (636), the 2014 GNAC Championship (642), and the 2016 GNAC Championship (643), as the 647 becomes the fourth-lowest two-day tournament score in team history.

Emmanuel wraps up the spring season with a trip to Worcester for the Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational on Monday, April 28, hosted by Worcester State at Tatnuck Country Club.
