WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Emmanuel junior Kason Huynh earned a pair of top-six finishes, while first-year Alisha Gomes shined in the 60 meter and 200 meters this past weekend at Wesleyan's Indoor Invite, leading to the two Saints being named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Field Athlete and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the GNAC Office on Jan. 26.

Huynh finished in second place in the high jump on Saturday, clearing the bar with a new personal best of 1.55 meters. She added a sixth-place finish in the triple jump, adding yet another personal best to her record, after a distance of 9.55 meters.

Gomes came away with a second place finish in the 60-meter dash, running the event in a time of 8.17 seconds. The rookie sprinter added a fourth place in the 200 meters, finishing in a time of 27.55. Her 60-meter time ranks first in the GNAC this season, while her 200-meter time is second-fastest in the conference in 2025-26.

The Saints return to action with a mix of meets on Friday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Jan. 31. Emmanuel will start their week at the Roxbury Community College Open on Friday before heading to the Harvard Invitational on Saturday.
