MEDFORD, Mass. - Emmanuel men's and women's indoor track & field continued their season with a trip to Tufts University on Saturday for the Branwen Smith-King Invitaional.
The top finish of the day went to first-year
Caroline Abbott, who claimed the win in the 5,000-meter run after a time of 21:11.37. Junior
Sydney Gonzalez came in second in the same event, finishing exactly 20 seconds later at 21:31.17.
Sophomore
Julia Kurthy posted a third place finish in the 800 meters, following a personal best time of 2:57.25. First-year
Emma Braga was one spot behind, finishing in fourth with a time of 2:57.59.
Rounding out the top-five finishes on the women's side, first-year
Aida Davis came in fifth place in the 600 meters with a time 1:45.39 while sophomore
Ava Fisher used a personal best in the shot put of 10.18 meters to come in fifth.
On the men's side, sophomore
Ryan Bausch finished in second place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:10.44. First-year
Alex Mazzarelli was next over the line in the 800 meters, finishing the race with a time of 2:10.53.
Sophomore
Luke Bullock added a fourth place finish in the 5,000 meters, crossing the line at 18:34.10.
The Saints return next Friday and Saturday for the Riverhawks Invitational at the TRACK at New Balance.
