CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Emmanuel track & field was concluded regular season action on Saturday, competing at the Sean Collier Invitational, hosted at MIT.
The top finish of the day on the women's side belonged to freshman Alisha Gomes, who ran a personal best in the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.76, finishing eighth in the event. Gomes' PR is the top finish in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference and a provisional qualifying time for the DIII New England Outdoor Championships.
Sophomore Eliana Jackson recorded two personal bests, finishing 11th in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:14.77 - third in the GNAC - and running the 100-meter dash in 13.91 seconds.
Ava Fisher posted a top ten performance in the shot put, throwing 10.58 meters for seventh place in the event. Madison Reilly placed tenth in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 34.77 meters.
On the men's side, the top finisher of the day was Nathan Morgan, who placed third in the long jump in a jump of 6.43 meters, a provisional qualifying mark for the DIII New England Outdoor Championships and ranks third in the GNAC.
Jahan Puryear set a new personal best in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:03.64, moving him into fourth in the conference. Juniors Ryan Bausch and Luke Bullock had PRs in the 1500 meters, running 4:23.83 and 4:24.68, respectively. Sophomore Eli Roy ran a personal best in the 400 meters in a time of 54.17.
The Saints will compete at the GNAC Championship on Saturday April 25 and Sunday April 26 at Saint Joseph's University in Standish, Maine.
