Keira Walsh has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalie of the Week, as announced on Monday by the GNAC Office.
Walsh opened the week with a win over Albertus Magnus, playing just 30 minutes in the 18-1 victory over the Falcons. Later in the week, Walsh made a career-high 12 saves in a 10-8 win against Colby-Sawyer, in a match of two of the conference's top teams.
Walsh is 8-4 overall this season and has the second-lowest goals against average among all goalies against conference opponents, allowing 5.77 goals per game against teams in the GNAC.
The Saints sit in second place in the conference standings at 7-1 in the GNAC. Emmanuel hosts Regis on Wednesday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to Dean on Saturday, April 11, for a game at noon.
