KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The junior trio of
Annebel Balogh de Galantha, Sarah Dullaghan, and
Liz McCormick, have all been named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division III Women's All-Region I Team, as announced by USC on Tuesday afternoon.
Dullaghan and McCormick were selected to the Region I First Team at forward and midfield, respectively. Galantha, one of the Saints co-captains, picked up a spot on the Region I Second Team on defense.
Following another breakout season, Dullaghan earned her second straight nomination to the USC Region I First Team after her record-setting year. The junior forward finished the 2024 season with 45 goals and 99 points, setting NCAA Division III women's soccer single-season records with those marks.
McCormick enjoyed a breakout season of her own in 2024, finishing the campaign with career-highs of 14 goals and 52 points while also setting the single-season program record for assists in a season with 24. A staple in the Saints midfield, McCormick became one of only three players in team history with a season of at least 10 goals and 10 assists.
Balogh de Galantha picks up her second straight nomination to the Region I Second Team on defense following a year of six goals and four assists. The Saints center back played all but 27 of the Saints 1,980 minutes this season and helped hold opponents to 0.95 goals per game in 2024.
With her nomination to the First Team, McCormick joins Dullaghan as the only player in team history who has received a nomination to the USC Region I First Team.
As a team, the Saints had arguably their best season in recorded history, dating back to 1997. The Saints led all of NCAA Division III in goals (106), assists (79), and points (291). Their 14.41 shots on goal per game helped net a scoring offense of 4.82 goals per match, both leading all of NCAA Division III.
Emmanuel finished the season 18-3-1 and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007, thanks to earning the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Automatic Bid with their GNAC Championship victory over Johnson & Wales, 2-1.
The strength of the GNAC continues to grow as five conference schools had at least one player voted to the All-Region I Team. Johnson & Wales led the way with four players, followed by Emmanuel with three while Albertus Magnus, Colby-Sawyer, and Regis all had one player selected. In total, 39 players are named to the USC All-Region Teams.
No Saint in women's soccer program history has been named a USC All-American, as Balogh de Galantha, Dullaghan, and McCormick all advance in the USC Women's Soccer Division III All-American voting process.
