KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior duo
Annebel Balogh de Galantha and
Sarah Dullaghan received their second straight nomination for the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Region I Team, joined by junior
Paige Letourneau, as announced by USC on Tuesday afternoon.
Â
Dullghan and Balogh de Galantha have proven to be a mainstay on their USC teams, as for the third year in a row, they have both claimed spots on the first and second teams, respectively. This year, they were joined by Letourneau, who received a nomination for the third team at midfield following her junior season.
Â
Following her dominant and record-breaking 2024 campaign, Dullaghan once again found herself on the first team. Her senior season was highlighted by her 100th career goal, making her just the 26th Division III player in history to reach that mark. Dullaghan tallied 21 goals and nine assists as a senior to pace the Saints.
Â
Balogh de Galantha, a team captain and Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Defender of the Year, once again found herself on the USC All-Region Second Team following her senior campaign. From her center back position, she added three goals and a pair of assists, while also leading the stout Emmanuel defense.
Â
Letourneau enjoyed a breakout season for the Saints, netting 17 goals to go along with six assists to earn a nod on the USC Region I Third Team. One of those goals being the all-important GNAC Conference Championship game-winner, sending the program to its second straight NCAA Tournament.
Â
Collectively as a unit, the Saints once again notched an impressive season behind a balanced offensive attack and hard-nosed defensive play, winning the GNAC championship, 2-1 over Rivier. Emmanuel finished with a 15-4-3 record, including an undefeated season in conference play (11-0-2).
Â
The hallmark of this year's Saints squad was their stellar defense, allowing less than a goal per game, including a six-game stretch in October where they allowed zero goals to opponents. They were not lacking in the offensive end either, averaging over four goals a game and pouring on nearly 27 shots per contest.
Â
Balogh de Galantha and Letourneau will be looking to join Dullaghan as the only Saints in women's soccer program history to be named USC All-Americans, as the three of them have advanced in the USC Women's Soccer Division III All-American voting process. Last season, Dullaghan was named to the USC All-American Team.
