Emmanuel Athletics Announces Erinn Ring as Head Women's Soccer Coach

BOSTON – Emmanuel College Director of Athletics Olivia Berry announced the hiring of Erinn Ring to the position of Emmanuel Women's Head Soccer Coach, effective March 30. Ring becomes the program's seventh head women's soccer coach since 2000. The newest Saints head coach was most recently an assistant coach at Wellesley College before joining the Saints athletic staff.

In four seasons as an assistant at Wellesley, Ring helped build the Blue program back into a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) playoff team. In 2025, alongside head coach Greg Margolis, Wellesley College returned to the NEWMAC Postseason Tournament for the first time since 2017.

"I am so excited to welcome Erinn Ring to the Saints family as our new head women's soccer coach," said Berry. "From the very start of this search, we knew we wanted someone who could develop players both on and off the field — and Erinn is exactly that. Her commitment to the student-athlete experience and the way she builds relationships make her the perfect fit for this program and for Emmanuel."

Ring brings nearly a decade of coaching and administrative soccer experience to Emmanuel, with stops as an assistant coach at Nichols College and the Global Premier Soccer (GPS) Club. While at Wellesley, Ring served as the Interim Head Coach for six months. In addition to her coaching experience, Ring has spent the last six years as the Registrar for FC Stars.

"I'm feeling really grateful to be given the opportunity to be the Head Women's Coach at Emmanuel and I'm really excited to get started," said Ring. "I'm hoping to continue to build off the success this program has already seen and look to continue to go further in the NCAAs."

Among her responsibilities at Wellesley and Nichols, Ring was responsible for planning and executing training sessions, supporting the staff in the recruitment process, and organizing day-to-day planning of road games, among other duties. In her role with FC Stars, Ring manages all team rosters to abide by league rules, manages the budgets for all club teams, and is responsible for inventory and sales of products.

"I really want to create a positive environment where this team can be successful on and off the field," added Ring.

A native of Worcester, Mass., she played four seasons with Colby-Sawyer College from 2007 to 2010. Ring holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Colby-Sawyer College and a master's degree in Criminal Justice from Southern New Hampshire University. She is currently pursuing another master's degree from SNHU in Sports Management.
