Record Eight Women's Soccer Saints Voted to GNAC Teams, Balogh de Galantha Named Defender of the Year

WINTHROP, Mass. – Emmanuel women's soccer placed a program record eight players on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Team, including the Defensive Player of the Year honors for senior Annebel Balogh de Galantha, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Balogh de Galantha becomes the first Saint to be named GNAC Defensive Player of the Year since 2021, when Kennedy Davignon '22 claimed the honors. The Saints center back and a co-captain, Balogh de Galantha added a First Team All-Conference nod to finish out her career.

Joining Balogh de Galantha on the GNAC First Team are seniors Sarah Dullaghan and Loliana Morales, as well as junior Paige Letourneau.

Junior Ciara Horan was the Saints lone GNAC Second Team member, while senior Liz McCormick earned a spot on the All-Conference Third Team, joined by first-time All-Conference players, senior Eva Simmons and Libby Tennant.

Balogh de Galantha was part of the defensive core that allowed the second-fewest goals per game in the conference, surrendering 0.80 goals per game this season. She added three goals and two assists in her senior campaign.

Dullaghan becomes a four-time GNAC All-Conference First Team selection after securing another nomination to the team as a senior. Dullaghan added another 21 goals and nine assists to her career totals as she became one of 26 players in Division III Women's Soccer history to reach 100 career goals.

After joining the Saints in her junior season, Morales earned her first nod to the All-Conference teams with a First Team selection. With a season of four goals and three assists, her impact stretches far beyond her offensive output as one of the conference's hardest-working midfielders.

Letourneau, a transfer from Long Island University, finds a spot on the GNAC First Team with her season of 17 goals and six assists. The junior forward provided the game-winning goal in the GNAC Championship in the 81st minute, earning her GNAC Tournament MVP honors, after a 2-1 win over Rivier.

Horan is back on the All-Conference teams, this time earning a Second Team selection after being a Third Teamer in her rookie season. Despite a shortened season due to injury, Horan managed five goals and three assists in 15 matches from the left back position.

McCormick finishes her career with a Third Team selection with her year of six goals and nine assists. She sits two points shy of 100 career points, while her 46 career assists are the most in team history.

Simmons picks up her first-ever nomination to an All-Conference Team, scoring a Third Team nod in the midfield. A two-year co-captain, Simmons has two goals and one assist this season.

Tennant also picked up her first spot on an All-Conference Team in her career, with a Third Team showing in 2025. Tennant has four goals and three assists as one of the conference's best right backs.

Emmanuel is back in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament for a second consecutive year as they face the No. 8 Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at MIT.
