WINTHROP, Mass. – Emmanuel men's basketball swept the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Awards on Monday, as junior Mahari Guerrier and first-year Danny Adams were named the GNAC Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the GNAC Office.
Guerrier put together a dominant two-game stretch for the Saints, averaging 27.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while shooting an impressive 58.3% from the floor. The junior powered Emmanuel earlier in the week to a victory over Southern Maine with a career-high 34 points to go with 11 boards and four assists. Guerrier added 21 points, five rebounds, and four assists against Williams.
Adams delivered an efficient and high-impact week for the Saints off the bench in 26 minutes per contest, averaging 19.5 points per game across two games, while shooting 51.9% from the field and 33.3% from three. Adams opened the week with 19 points on 7-for-13 from the field with three steals in a win over Southern Maine and followed with a 20-point performance against Williams.
The Saints are off to a 3-2 start this season and head to Amherst on Tuesday, Nov. 25, for a 5:00 p.m. game.
